I really like Pandora Radio because it brings together songs that you like, with songs that it thinks you will like: and it's pretty damn smart!
Basically, you type in the names of some artists that you like and then you have three options:
You can listen to a random shuffle of songs by that artist.
You can pick an artist and then Pandora will play tracks from other artists that have a similar sound.
You can chose their 'QuickMix' option which looks at all of the artists you've entered and then simply plays songs it reckons you will like!
It's really detailed in searching for songs you would like as well, taking into account things like; Hard rock roots, a subtle use of paired vocal harmony, extensive vamping, and minor key tonality!
