Opium Incense

Opium was used since ancient times to induce sleep. It was found in Egyptian tombs, Romans used it to heal love wounds and also for witchcraft and ancient Greeks believed it to bring health and strength. It was also used in Mesopotamia where the Sumerians and Assyrians knew it as the ‘joy plant’, and more recently burnt in the form of Opium Incense sticks.

Taken from poppy seeds, opium is known for its narcotic content. The top notes emanated are very intense and warm, more spicy than floral. This opium incense has an alluring mysterious scent with rich, exotic poppy overtones, ideal for creating a relaxing mood and opening hidden worlds at any time of the day.

My Drug of Choice

I've not tried many drugs in my life time. Those I have tried I found to be rather crap and not worth the money or after effects.

Opium incense is like a drug. I love it. I burn one hell of a lot of it in my room and I find the smell of it to be both relaxing and erotic at the same time.

I first discovered opium incense in Salamanders in Lincoln, and for a long time this was all I used. More recently however I found a stall in Camdon Market, London, that sells the stuff which is a) cheaper, b) longer lasting and c) smells even nicer!
