Muse

Muse are an English rock band formed in Tiegnmouth, Devon in 1997. Their idiosyncratic style is a blend of alternative rock, progressive rock, classical music, funk, electronica and heavy metal.

The band has released four records.

In October 1999 they released their debut album 'Showbiz' which featured singles 'Uno', 'Cave', 'Unintended', Muscle Museum' and 'Sunburn'. The album has sold over 700, 000 copies worldwide and been certified platinum in the UK.

Muse's next album, 'Origin of Symmetry', was released in 2001. The record achieved four singles including the massively popular 'Plug In Baby', which got to number 11 on the UK charts and established Muse as one of the fasted growing British rock bands of the 21st century.

September 2003 saw Muse's 'Absolution', album hit the number one spot on the UK album chart and the resulting five singles including 'Hysteria' and 'Sing For Absolution' remain my favorites of the bands work. The single 'Time Is Running Out' was the first track to be a big hit in the United States, paving the way for their latest release to achieve world domination.

In July 2006, Muse released the record 'Black Holes and Revelations' to the world. The album has seen massive success in both the UK and abroad, selling over 2 million copies by the start of 2007 in this country alone! The album went to number on in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland and the UK, as well as the Euro Top 200 and the United World Chart. It has seen five singles, four of which have broken the UK top 20.

Muse have won 20 awards since 2000 in the UK, achieving 'Best Live Act' four years running.

The Best Night of My Life

I have seen Muse play live only once, but it remains the best night of my life.

They are totally increadable live! I don't know any other band that can achieve what they do with their live performance.

I saw them when they played two packed out dates at the new Wembley Stadium where they were supported by Biffy Cliaro and My Chemical Romance!
