The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts
The mission of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is to develop as a conservatoire pre-eminent in the pursuit of excellence in education and training for those people whose vocation is to work in the professional theatre and related industries and to create significant opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to develop and enrich their quality of life through the practice of theatre and dramatic arts.
Students are able to work, not only with Mountview’s experienced teaching staff but also with Directors, Set Designers, Lighting and Sound Designers, Choreographers, Actors and Stage Management working in the profession. As well as keeping students in touch with current professional practice, this provides valuable contacts on completion of the course.
Mountview also has a strong commitment to training in television with its specialised requirements and students are given opportunities to work with the Academy’s professional television staff. Acting students also study radio technique. After completing their chosen course, many of our students have gone on to enjoy highly successful careers in all media.
